A 64-year-old female came to us with a severe case of scleroderma. This condition caused a loss of small blood vessel circulation, a loss of mobility, and extreme pain in her fingers.
She had previously seen several other doctors and tried various treatments, including amputation of one of her fingers. Nevertheless, her condition only worsened.
Finally, she was told by the other doctors that she was going to require another finger amputation.
Before going through with the second amputation, she came to our clinic. After being evaluated by Dr. Gligoric, the patient received a combination of ozone therapy and ultraviolet light therapy. Within hours of her first treatment, her symptoms began to noticeably improve. In less than 10 days, her finger had improved so much that she cancelled the amputation. The condition of her finger continued improving with subsequent treatments.
